Become a Presence of Peace

Become a Presence of PeaceCan your simple presence bring peace to others and influence situations? You must first believe that it’s possible, be willing to act as a peaceful influence, by silent example when you can, and then speak up if necessary. Our potential to affect others is both a gift and a responsibility. When we walk into a room our energy is communicated and it creates an influence that affects everyone in our midst. If we are centered in a state of peace and compassion, this energy is shared with others. Conversely, if we are stuck in judgment and resentment we communicate that reality as well. Conflicts are usually rooted in misunderstandings. Rather than contributing to the chaos of feelings, focus your efforts on being a presence of peace, compassion and loving kindness. In your effort to consciously connect with your true compassionate self you expand your awareness and enfold others in your peaceful presence. Usually, in conflicts can then be reframed and resolved. One of the most effective ways to expand your awareness of a peaceful and compassionate self is to spend time each day in quiet reflection during meditation, allowing mindful awareness to serve as a powerful tool for connecting with who we really are, and who we really want to become.
