Pacifica Psychological Services

 

Founded by Dr. Kathline Colvin, Pacifica Psychological Services offers specialized interventions for Children, Adolescents, Adults and Families. Created on the philosophy that an organization comprised of caring, experienced experts can partner with parents, families, schools, performing arts organizations and community agencies to offer high quality, cost effective therapies, assessments, consultations, workshops, master classes and educational interventions, Dr. Colvin and her associates have successfully served clients across the greater Southern California area since 1996.  We welcome you to contact us to inquire further about our work and how we might assist you.


About Dr. Colvin -

As the Founder and Clinical Director of Pacifica Psychological Services, Dr. Kathline Colvin specializes in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychology. In addition to providing psychological services, Dr. Colvin is a Professor of Psychology at Saddleback College, teaching undergraduate students since 2003.  Prior to her position at Saddleback College, she was on the faculty at Alliant International University, Los Angeles teaching in the masters and doctoral programs in Psychology, and served on the Affiliate Medical Staff at College Hospital. She currently provides consultations in Pediatric Psychology and Adolescent Medicine, and for Individual Educational Planning meetings for students and their families. Dr. Colvin holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has a background rich and varied in training and experience, including clinical fellowships at the Yale University School of Medicine and Cornell University Medical College. She has held prior academic and clinical appointments at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, State University of New York—Health Science Center at Brooklyn, and Cornell University Medical College.  Dr. Colvin has worked as both a Clinical and Educational Psychologist in a variety of settings in New York, Connecticut, and California. Prior to her training in Clinical Psychology she studied and pursued a career in music. She currently offers workshops and master classes in Psychology and the Creative Arts, and has authored articles and papers on Moods and Creativity, and on interdisciplinary studies in Psychology and Music.
